Having written songs to Jesus from as young as nine, Kathryn Scott was sure she would grow up with song-writing as one of her central gifts so she was totally unprepared when God stripped away the gift leaving her convinced she would never create music again

Kathryn grew up in Northern Ireland in a Christian home and gave her life to Jesus when she was just three years old. As her mother was a song writer and soloist for a travelling evangelist, song writing was something that seemed normal and came naturally to her.

"As a child I just absolutely loved Jesus and I knew he absolutely loved me. I started writing songs to Him when I was nine because it seemed like the normal thing to do and I began with a musical about the prodigal son - start easy, that's what I always say!"
