Ancestors MCC are a small MCC, but have been around for a long time, infact this year is our 20th Anniversary. Our members come from all over the Northern Ireland (Coleraine, Antrim, Kells, Larne, Glenarm, Belfast, Banbridge, Ballynahinch & Killeagh) and on all sorts of bikes. We meet at the start of each month to chat about the club, rallies, ride-outs and basically have a laugh at each others expense. We all try and get to as many rallies, rock nights and runs as possible. We hold a rally every year in August, its always a good laugh and everyone has a great time, we also have our annual Christmas Toy Run at the start of December where all proceeds go to charity and hopefully a couple of Rock Nights thrown in throughout the year.

The future isn’t another country: its another planet. Jon Lambert docks with the Audacious City Church crew to see what church could look like.

You’ve seen the footage. A lone man steps from the ladder of his lunar module. He utters those immortal words and plants the stars & stripes in the moon-dust. To Neil Armstrong, the Apollo landing was his life’s ambition. It was a chance in a million, and when the call came he was prepared. He simply stepped out and made his mark on history. This summer finds Audacious City Church taking their own small step, and to these guys making history is child’s play.

A WARNING has been issued to parents, urging them to be on their guard against meningitis as their children return to school after the summer holidays.
Charity Meningitis UK says the close confines of a classroom put youngsters more at risk from the deadly brain bug.
There are also concerns that the swine flu pandemic may result in meningitis being missed because both illnesses begin with flu-like symptoms.
Children under five are most at-risk from the killer disease, followed by teenagers and students.

British parents are risking their child’s eyesight by exposing them to bright sunlight without appropriate protection, according to a new study from the College of Optometrists. Over three-quarters (76 per cent) of parents questioned admitted to not making sure their child wears sunglasses when out and about in the sun.
Dr Susan Blakeney, optometric adviser at The College of Optometrists, says “I am shocked to see that so many parents aren’t ensuring that their child’s eyes are protected in the sun, and am equally astounded to see that of those who do, many are opting for ‘cheap and cheerful’ over quality."Protection for children’s eyes is imperative in strong sunlight. Just as most of us wouldn’t dream of sending our kids out into the sun without SPF protection, neither should we expose their eyes directly to strong sunlight.
Sunlight may damage the retina and lens of the eye, increasing the risk of developing certain conditions such as cataracts in later life.
