These competition terms and conditions shall be binding when entering any competition operated by Shine FM or any sponsors. In addition to the general rules stated below, other specific terms and conditions may also apply to a particular competition – such rules would be posted on our website or relevant material at the time.
You must be over 16 years of age and resident in the UK to enter our competitions in your own right. Any entrants made by anyone under the age of 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. No volunteers of Shine FM or their families may enter a competition run by the company.
Proof of making a phone call, sending post or email is not proof of our receipt of your competition entry. No responsibility will be taken by Shine FM for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged.
Unless specified, entries are limited to one per household or primary residence although entries are acceptable from family members who reside at different addresses. In the case of a prize draw, the first correct entry drawn will be the winner.
Winners will be formally notified by email, post, text or phone within 21 days of the closing date of all competitions. Full details of the prize will also be given upon notification. Where we notify a winner by email or text we will ask for confirmation of receipt by reply email or text. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery may result in forfeiture of the prize. If they cannot be contacted, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, Shine FM reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant. Please allow 28 days for delivery of prizes.
The closing date for entries is specified in the relevant competition. This will always be at a time and date in the UK. Where a time is not given, the closing time will be 12 noon on the relevant day.

> Postal entries should be made to Shine FM, 48a Bridge Street, Banbridge, Co Down, BT32 3JU.
> Entries received after the closing time will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged. Entries which are incomplete, incorrect, misspelt, inaudible, and incomprehensible or not received by Shine FM are void but may still be charged.
The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize is not transferable to any other person.
With the exception of cash prizes, there is no cash value assigned to any prize and no cash equivalent is available. In the event of the advertised prize being unavailable we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize equal to or of greater value than that advertised.
Use of a false name or address will disqualify an entrant from receiving a prize. We reserve the right to request proof of name and address from any potential winner prior to their prize being allocated.
Shine FM will not be responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied by sponsors.
We will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in a competition.
Competition winners may be required to take part in, or co-operate with, publicity associated with their prize.
We will keep your personal details for a reasonable time so that we can send you, or arrange collection, of any prize that you have won; to verify that these rules have been complied with and also for our accounting purposes. We may also pass on your details to our service providers as well as competition partners for the purposes of sending you the prize on our behalf.
Entry in the competition implies acceptance of these rules.
We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time. If we issue specific rules for a competition they are to be read in conjunction with these rules. If there is a conflict between the two sets of rules, the competition-specific rules take priority.
